An Amtrak train carrying House and Senate Republican lawmakers collided with a garbage truck in Crozet, Virginia, near Charlottesville, while heading to a retreat sponsored by the Congressional Institute in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. The truck driver died at the scene and some passengers, including Republican Representative Jason Lewis from Minnesota, were injured.
