NBC News Special Report Intro and Outro Updated

Credit: Micah Grimes (https://twitter.com/MicahGrimes/status/865191537948463104)
NBC News has updated their openings and closings for special reports for the first time in over a decade. The new opening first aired when they reported that former FOX News CEO Roger Ailes had died. These new graphics come after NBC News updated their lower thirds graphics for special reports on May 17, 2017. The NBC chimes and "The Pulse of Events" theme *thankfully* remained the same as before. You can watch this special report by clicking or tapping here. NBC News Updates Graphics for Special Reports

NBC News has updated their graphics for special reports. The new lower thirds debuted during a special report* today that covered a press briefing by National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster after the Washington Post reported that President Trump gave classified information to the Russians. If you look closely, you can see that there is a map showing parts of North America (Canada, Mexico, the Great Lakes, and the United States) and Europe (Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom). This is the first major revamp of NBC News' special report graphics in over a decade. Note: The opening and closing graphics, as well as "The Pulse of Events" theme and NBC chimes, have so far remained the same.

I took the screenshot above before the first NBC News Special Report aired today. NBC News' new special report intro's logo will likely look something like the one at the bottom of this image in future openings and closings.**
